Meet my new pup, not the best pose but she reminds me so much of her mum, and her grandma, this is Tarimoor Hidden Dreams, aka Branta. I'm going to have some fun with this girl, she's a feisty little madam.

Lovely name, the pose cracks me up completely. I’m sure you’ll have some great fun with her.

I see Lynda's Water Reed in there, and quite a bit of the late Janice Pritchard's dogs. In her latter days, Janice, working with Kate Smith, moved more towards dual purpose dogs, using Pocklea Remus on Ballylace to produce Ballyapril, she then used Endacott Store to produce Summerain, who I had the honour of showing for Kate in the Gamekeepers Ring at Crufts one year. Your pups are distantly related to Summerain, because Barley Wine goes back to Ballywillwill who in turn goes forward to Summerain!
Oh, and Zenny. Seem to remember he finished his days with Dave Scott? (Redracer) Working on the grouse moors. He was by Fulbeck Fantail, out of Haverton Tawny Pipit At Brigburn. I love Lynda Heron's dogs. Lynda is a breeder of the old school. Sadly not many left now.

Nice! Olé gets in everywhere. Lulu has him too. I was lucky enough to meet him at a show in Toulouse. His owner asked me to hold his lead while she went into the ring with another dog. My claim to fame.

My latest girl is from a fortuitous but accidental mating but she carries the gene KTR71 (coat curl) so it’s going to be interesting to find her a husband that doesn’t carry it. Her father was affected. I’ve noticed more and more studs in Europe are tested for the FGF5 gene (long coat) but I only know 2 studs that have been tested for KRT51 and that’s her father and my boys father! Her father was only tested because comments were raised about his father whom people commented had a fluffy coat, back in the day (he died in 2004). I do know that my boy is clear as both his parents have been tested...as if there’s not enough to worry about! Lol

Thanks, I'll be working her for sure, and possibly dabbling at a bit of showing.

I've no idea re the coat thing, I did a bundle of genetic tests with a Laboratory, which Zasa was clear for all of, including Narcolepsy, obesity gene, various forms of myopathy, and a whole host more, but the main five she was clear for as well. The results were about 3 pages long, most I'm sure, will have nothing to do with Labradors.

Looked at this pic and then you said she was "a little stinker" 😂
My breeder took similar pics before we had Juice!! OMG!! now I have looked at her pedigree!!

Juice has "Barley Wine" as a GGP (sires side) and "Jane Eyre" as a GGP (dams side) !!

OK, she is a little stinker, but Juice is the most loving lab that I have ever had ❤

Chel and Juice xx 🐾🐾

Zasa is the softest dog going, she loves nothing more than cuddling up on your knee and is such a fab mum. I'm really looking forward to training this little girl up, I'm sure the ratbag gene will be strong in this one xx

This is Doris, Branta's sister, Tarimoor Hidden Light, who will be joining my mad household in 2 weeks' time.
