Default Are you ever tempted?

To get another one?

I'm in a major phase at the moment where I cannot stop looking at puppies/rescues for sale!

We definitely want another one, but have always said when Graham is about 2 and (hopefully) grown up a little so I have another year and a bit's wait.

It's not suitable at the moment for us to have 2..but looking can't do any harm eh?

Can see how people end up with half a dozen.

Definitely we are planning a new addition in 2018/2019. I got given a lovely wee black lab ornament for Mother's Day that was in a money tin. I was told if I fill it to the top with 2 coins then we can get a new addition. I would go out tomorrow and get one but the saving is for my kids so they know that they have to be patient until the time is right. The tin will take enough for a new dog, changing my car crate to a double, first years insurance and hopefully a bit left over

Cola is amazing and I love her to bits, I would just love to have two to love I have been in touch with a breeder and asked to be put on the waiting list, they have a beautiful lab and I am hoping they breed from her again

Yes, and that's why we now have 2! Barbara is just 6 months old now and we got her when Frank had just turned 2 which I thought was about right timing wise, Frank had just matured slightly (very slightly! ) and was reasonably behaved.

Two is definitely twice as much work though!!!

Thats such a nice idea, my mum collects 2 coins and it paid for a 2 week holiday to Australia! Pretty impressive what you can save, though you realise how rare 2 coins can be.

I've thought about joining a waiting list, there are a couple of breeders that I know who have exceptional pups all reserved months before they are even planned.

It would be nice to get another from Grahams breeder, as couldn't have wished for a better pup really he is just what we wanted. Unfortunately, the last time I tried to call it said number inactive - fairly easy to track them down though!

I just love the idea of them playing together, sleeping together and having company when we are not there. I know it does not always work out like this but having 2 was my wish from the start. Graham was the last one of his litter but i'm fairly sure if there were 2 we would have brought them both home with us!

Really, more work? In what sort of way?

I am very excited about it even though it wont be for a while, I do often wonder why I want to create more work for myself though

Cola is amazing and has a lovely pedigree but I don't think I would want to go back to the same breeder. When we were looking for a pup last year we missed out on the last girl from a lovely litter so have been in touch with them again for next time.

I would more than love to get one this year but the time is definitely not right and want to enjoy Cola on her own whilst she is still young

Yep which is why I got Finn when Bruce was a year old Having two ten months apart was more like three times the work though and I don't think I would do that again .
There's been a mating just took place that I know of and I would dearly love one of the pups from that pairing but I know it would be a terrible idea so I'm trying to forget I know about it

My logic is that the closer the age gap..the more likely they will get along! Trying to justify it to OH.

Graham does need to grow up first though, mainly so he can set a good example and not teach the lil'un any bad habits!
