Default Travelling

Hello, I have just been given a lab from my parents, she is 9 months old and is trained pretty well. The only porblem i have is gettin her in the boot of the car! For the past two weeks i have been picking her up and putting her in. I want to teach her to jump in to make things easier but i'm having no luck! She'll jump out quite happily. Any tips or advice would be great. Thanx

We were starting to have his problem with Maddie and she's nearly 30kg at 10 months so a little bit heavy for that now! We started with saying "in" when we'd lifted her in and giving her a treat and telling her she was a good girl. She caught on with only a few tries and now we just open the boot and say "in" and she jumps right on in, no treats needed.

Of course she could have just decided she was sick of being manhandled into the car!

Good luck
Tracey & Maddie
