to be humping stuff? Mojo, after a frustrated attempt at "playing" with Lana's dolls (with the stupidely long, and tempting, hair), has just taken his need for a good romp out on his lounge cushion... there was very definate humping of the poor cushion. The thing is... he's not even 11 weeks. Isn't it bit early for him to be doing stuff like that and what do I do? Do I let him do it or do I stop him?

At 11 weeks humping is not a sexual thing, Mojo won`t have a clue that what he`s doing isn`t considered "normal" by us humans, I think, if you ignore what he`s doing, make no indication at all that it bothers you he`ll grow out of it after a while.

A bit like kids, if you tell him he can`t he`ll want to do it all the more, I can`t say for sure that he will stop at a later date but waiting a while will tell Smile

Thanks Mary Smile. I'll make sure I tell people to ignore it if he does it again. I imagine we'll be seeing a fair amount of it when he hits puberty?... I remember babysitting for a family who's water spaniel humped anything and everything ALL the time - it was not pleasant lol - I used to have to sit on the sofa with my legs curled up under me to avoid getting molested! Even castrating him had no real effect to he'd obviously just go into the habit.

Ruby has done this from a very early age, she is now 7 months and on occasions she still does it with her cuddly hippo toy it is now known as humping hippo Laughing

I was quite shocked when it first happened seeing as she's a little girl Shocked

MY late girl Madison humped from around 8 weeks til just before she went to the bridge....And always when we had company she would drag her fav humping teddy into the living room and do it front of everyone...lol

Alfie on the other hand did it once when he was 8 weeks old and has never done it again.x
