I know there are a few of us that are F1 fans here and as it's the start of the new season I thought I'd start a thread that we can use for all our F1 chat!
Perhaps a mod would oblige by making this a sticky-topic for us?
Just wanted to get your reactions to this mornings practice; I guess only the most devoted were up at 7am watching it, most people are probably heading off to work.
I was chuffed to bits when I saw Michael come out on track; I never thought I'd see the day.
So far so good... I think a few of the rookies will make it interesting tomorrow I saw quite a few of them not shifting their butts off the racing line when faster cars were coming round; poor Nando practically had to go onto the grass to get past one of them.
McLaren looks pretty fit; Lewis and Jenson going nicely, HATE the yellow of the Renaults with a passion, and my goodness me, Hunklehead (or whatever his name is) didn't he do well for a rookie.
Looking forward to tomorrow... hopefully Lewis to win but if Michael comes 2nd I won't be disappointed

I watched it, my son is mad on it.
I am so looking forward to this year, I love the look of the lotus car & like both the drivers so am hoping they will be the best of the new teams.
I like lots of drivers, so at the mo not to bothered who wins ( that may change though )
The Renault drivers I don't like ( I hate the car too)
Or Red Bulls drivers.
Shall miss Kimi Raikkonen he was so funny, so laid back

Ooh it's so exciting.
We watched the first practice this morning, I was in the kitchen surfing LF and heard that unmistakeable rumble of engines from the lounge!
I think the cars look fab, very retro and it's a bit like going back a few years.
Great to see that Jenson and Lewis did well, go boys
Bet Schumi pulls a rabbit out of the hat somewhere!
Gosh I have so much to do tomorrow morning to get back in time for quali

well what did you think?
Wasn't a great start, was it. Hardly the best start to the season. i really don't know why we can't start at Australia like usual, at least we tend to get an interesting race. Can't say I'm a fan of the Bahrain circuit.
As for the outcome, I really wish Fandando (as I call him) hadn't won his first race with Ferrari. I'd have liked to have seen Felipe on the top step of the podium.
Glad that Lewis made it up there though.
As for Schumi - three years out and he makes it through to Quali Three and finishes in the top ten. Yet that still isn't enough for some people. I'd like to see any other World Champ come back after three years and do as well. He's a force not to be reckoned with this season, thats for sure.

at Fandando, I won't disclose on an open forum what OH has nicknamed him!
It wasn't the result I wanted to see, Alsonso is very talented but it's his attitude I can't abide.
Really felt for Vettel, he did so well for so long.
Great see Lewis on the podium, hope to see Jenson there next time.
I thought the coverage was excellent, for some reason I was expecting a huge Schumi focus regardless of his position and it was really well balanced.
