While walking him again today. He thought it was time. Or maybe, a good idea.? To have a spontaneus bum tuck.
ON THE LEAD?????????????.
This happened in the main street.
People everywhere (And they were laughing) .
How can i stop this?.
Why, does he do it?.
It only last a few seconds. But on the lead. He yanks me all over the place

Thankfully CJ`s never done that!, the only thing I can suggest is walking him on a much shorter lead so he doesn`t have the chance to do a btr or at least you should have a chance of stopping him before it becomes full blown

Luna's done this to me too! The best thing I have found to do is to shorten the lead she has to run on until gradually she is very close to me and can't run anywhere. She loses all ability to see/hear when in a bumtuck so I stay quiet and just stroke her calmly once she's close.
I find that Luna bum tucks when she is excited AND tired. If she can she quickly falls asleep after having one so if she does one while out on a walk I start to head for home!
Hope you aren't suffering from his yanking.

It is when the dog tucks his bum down and goes crazy, almost bouncing on back legs but v close to the ground, often making a lot of noise at the same time!!
Once seen never forgotten

I know exactly what you mean, also when they try to get the lead off you,
over the last 3 weeks i have taken broken digestive biscuits out with me, very quickly get it out of my pocket when this happens tell him to sit, he has the biscuit then he forgets about what he was doing,
he seems to like these biscuits and it works for me.(its strange but no other treats seem to work)

Good idea, to have a treat ready.
Silly thing is. I can see when he is about to go into one of his bum tucking antics. Usually when i am stopping him from doing some thing.
He is like a kid having a tantrum.
I will try the treat thing
