Its now three weeks and 2 days since zak had his last cluster of fits, as you all know the last cluster was particularly bad zak having had 6 grand mal fits within 36 hours, he took longer to recover from these and for a week later he had a head twitch that made me worry his brain had been damaged, thankfully his twitches stopped as he settled, the vet has given us rectal diazepam to use at the onset of his next fit in the hope of breaking the cluster. For the last 2weeks we have had a lovely time with zak, he has been what i would call a "normal dog" we have walked, played, and he has enjoyed getting into mischief as labs do. However, tonight there are the subtle changes that tell me that all is not well again, he is restless and pacing the floor, clingy and attention seeking, we seldom get more than four weeks between his fits so i know that the inevitable cluster of fits is slowly brewing, and the time approaching for us to put the diazepam to the test, for those of you with epi labs you know too well that this can last for up to a week or it could happen tonight, so I thought i would record what happens over the next few days, firstly it will help me, just to write it down and channel my thoughts, and secondly those of you with epi labs may find it interesting and helpful, sorry if any of you find it upsetting, but if you would like to put down your own thoughts and feelings on this thread as we begin our wait for the next round of seizures and how we get on with the diazepam, I for one would interested in other ideas and opinions and would interested in what you all think.

What a horrible situation for both you and Zak, hope the diazepam does the trick, kicking the clusters into touch.
