A few weeks ago Oscar started to have a runny tum, we gave him no food for a day and then small amounts the next day and it seemed to be ok, still a little soft but getting better. The last two days we are back to soft stools again. The only thing i can think of is that when he first had a runny tum he had just started a new bag of Skinners maintenance after finishing a bag of Duck and Rice. He had been fed on maintenance before with no probs but his stools just havent seemed to have settled since starting this bag.
Has anyone else had any problems with Skinners lately? Am looking around for alternatives but not sure which to try we had a trial when he was younger finding one that suited. Have heard good things about Wainrights and my friend uses Vet's Kitchen.

It may just be a coincidence, what I would do is put him on a bland diet of chicken or egg with well boiled rice for a few days, see if that settles things down and then very gradually reintroduce the Skinners and see what happens. I don't feed Skinners but think the recipe of Maintenance is quite different to the duck and rice so its possible something is upsetting him.

I am having this problem with Charlie but it is not the food. He had runny poos for a few days so I did not feed him for a day. They went back to normal until yesterday so again today he had no food.. Hopefully he goes back to normal soon! He is having way to many 'accidents' in the house these last few days. He doesn't even warn me..Just goes and does it.

We switched back to Duck and Rice and the bad tummy stopped pretty much straight away. So will be sticking to that from now on.
