Copy of email from Blackretriever x rescue:
Well we don't get one of these every day of the week... meet Ben, a gorgeous - and rare - Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.
Ben was found wandering in the countryside in County Mayo. Every attempt was made to find his owners and when no one came forward he was handed in to Mayo SPCA who has contacted us for help. They felt he was just too special to rehome locally to people who might not appreciate what he is and wanted him to go to a rescue with retriever-experienced homes.
Tollers are the smallest of the retriever breeds - active, bright and biddable. Ben is a really lovely boy - about a year old we think, great with people and dogs; housetrained, good recall, in good health, neutered and fully vaccinated. He is struggling to cope in kennels (you can see from the pictures how stressed the poor boy is), hence why we're taking him at such short notice. He arrives this Thursday morning and we very urgently need a foster home for him.
If you can help (or might be interested in offering a forever home to Ben), please get in touch asap!

Thanks Alfiesmum - Jemima has said she has had a fair few offers for foster already but hopefully a toller fan may be able to give him a forever home - I'd love to have him.
