Boston is 12 weeks on Thursday, we soak his food for about 15 mins usually but I am just wondering how long we need to do that for ? any ideas?
I've been using the Buster Cube with his dry food in and he gobbles the bits down no problem but I am worried that if we don't soak his normal meal time food then he'll choke - yes he wolfes it down at 100mph !

Laughing Laughing HOOVERDOG yep think most of them are Razz

I still feed Ruby with water added purely because dry food soaks up whatever water is in the stomach - i just float it in it so still remains crunchy but the water ensure that water will be hoovered up with the food. Ruby is nearly 8 months

I never soaked Corbie's dry food when he was a pup and he was ok with it. I know some soak it so that it's easier for them to eat when they are teething but Corbie never had a problem.

Maybe try him with some dry and see how he goes or don't leave it to soak for as long? he may prefer soggy food though. Laughing

Hi, we still soak Bella's food at 7 months. I think you can stop whenever you feel your ready but we carried on so we know she's well hydrated. Smile All we do is put a bit of hot and cold water in, leave it for 5 minutes then give it her. Smile

I don't soak Leos food.
If you leave it cruncy and dry it's better for their teeth and gums.
I do mix in butchers tinned meat with Leos' meals though, so this means its not just dry kibble. He absolutely loves it, and he doesn't eat it extremely fast due to the tinned meat being in there too. So thats a bonus!
