I have two; one is a Hoover, i.e. a Hoover Slalom, and it is great as it is bagless. I also have a Miele Cat and Dog which is really good and it's only downside is the fact it need bags.

I have had two Dysons in the past and whilst they were good when they were new I found they didn't last very long.

Miele Cat & Dog. Had mine a year and it's absolutely fab. The darn thing even takes muddy pawprints off my wooden floors!!

We have the 2 dogs but also 3 cats (one of which is a long hair and the other a british shorthair that sheds worse than any cat I've owned in 20 years). The Miele beats every other hoover (including the dyson) that we've ever had.

Dyson animal being delivered today and I'm very excited!!

I did lots of research. The Meile cat and dog probably came out slightly better, but I don't want to keep buying bags. Also I've got the dyson dog grooming atatchment for my current dyson (which is great for everything except dog hair!) so that will fit on the new one too Very Happy

I used to have a Morphy Richards and it was awful for pet hair. Bought a Miele after recommendations on here and very pleased with it, only downside is having to buy bags.

I have a dyson animal and a henry both do great for pet hair I find.

My old dysons were pretty poor, but the newer models seem much better Smile

I've had two dysons and don't rate any of them.

I now use a VAX Pet which I find is great, although I also use a VAX Rapide Deluxe Carpet cleaner every couple of weeks Rolling Eyes
