I'm interested in learning if Buddy (Richbourne Keep Hopeful) has relatives on this forum. He was bred by Susie & Richard Wiles of Richbourne Kennels.

Parent;
Sire - Richbourne Keep It Dark
Dam - Richbourne Finest Hour

Grandparents;
Sire - Naiken Kris (show champ)
Dam - Lenches Graceful of Richbourne

Sire - Tullochmohr Final Edition (show champ)
Dam - Richbourne Time Flies

Great grandparents and great, great grandparents come from Hawksmoor/ Naiken/ Sandylands/ Lenches/ Aroscas/ Rocheby Lines, many of which are show champions.

Don't think Buddy will be a show champ. He eats too many poos Laughing

My lovely Bess is a richbourne girl (Richbourne Vera - Dam Richarborne Kia Ora/Sire Vincent o'brien at Mardas), and it appears that Keep it Dark and Kia Ora were litter mates (born 19/05/04) so i guess in a wierd way Bess and Buddy are cousins.

I may be biased but i'm guessing Buddy will be a fantastic dog, and yep his cousin Bess is very partial to cat poo, must be a family trait.

Well how about that? I typed Bess's dam straight into google and it took me to the Richbourne website with Kia Ora's pedigree. Yes, there are definitely genetic links there.

I was super impressed when we met Susanna as I found her to be very knowledgeable and professional yet laid back and relaxed in her approach to her labradors. She had planned to keep Buddy for stud but then changed her mind which is how we came to adopt him. She had already done alot of work with him in terms of toilet and crate training, so our transition with him has been very easy.

He is a fabby pup and like Susanna.... very chilled and laid back.

By the way, My name is also Tracey.

oohhh so we have lab cousins and matching names, what a co-incidence.

Sussie is great, and so is Richard, they were very patient with me when i called them in panic about about every little thing when we first got Bess. I do think that Richbourne labs are laid back, certainly all the ones i have met have been.

My yellow girl is a Tullochmohr Final Edition grand-daughter - and her, my youngest girl and my boy are all related through Hawksmoor Webster.

Would be interested to see some pics of Buddie - Richbourne keep it Dark has some nice offspring on the ground - who have certainly caught my eye Wink

Yea, we have a Richbourne Lab too!! He is called Richbourne Keep Trying (now known as Monty!), is a yellow lab & was born June 2007.

Sire: Richbourne Keep it Dark
Dam: Richbourne Sixpence

Grandparents: Naiken Kris/Lenches Graceful of Richbourne & Berolee Singing the Blues/Richbourne Yolanda

Great grandparents & beyond are mainly Richbourne too & loads of show winners!!

Beautiful dog, I am stopped almost daily and asked of his parentage - Richbourne Labs are so distinctive & well known!!

I'm pleased to see we don't have the only Richbourne Lab with a fetish for eating dog poo!!
