Update 30 March 2011: Please take a look through the whole thread if you haven't already and at our newest Old Dog of the Week, who will be amongst the latest posts each time.
*************
The wonderful volunteers on the Oldies Club web team started an Old Dog of the Week listing a while back, to highlight a particular oldie in rescue, from our website. These dogs are ones that have been on the site for a while and the listing features new photos and a fresh write-up.
Many of the dogs featured will be non-Labradors, but maybe someone reading this will feel drawn to a particular dog or know someone else who would be and can share the details.
I'll (try to remember to!) post a photo each week on this thread with the current Old Dog of the Week and a link to the dog's listing on the OC site so you can read more.
Rehoming/contact details will be at the foot of the dog's listing on the Oldies Club site - please note that many of these dogs will be with other rescues as we help to promote oldies for lots of other UK rescues
All of the dogs mentioned on this thread are still available for adoption (as far as we know), unless it states "now rehomed" by their name.
*NOW REHOMED* This week's entry is the lovely Buster:
I've just put my friends parents onto the Oldies Club, they told me they were looking for a friend for their 9yr old Patterdale Terrier but didn't think they could cope with a pup. They'd never heard of the Olides Club, they have now! They are experienced dog owners so hopefully they'll be able to offer one of the lovely Oldies a new home.

Thank you Let us know if they do end up adopting an older dog. Can highly recommend it

Jack is a very sweet and small crossbreed who is thought to be around ten years of age. He was a stray - how anyone can lose a dog and not want to claim them, I have no idea
He can live with other dogs and might be ok with a very confident cat.
He's being rehomed by Pet Welfare, Notts, and is currently in foster care in Mansfield.
If you are interested in adopting Jack, please use the contact details on the above link to contact Pet Welfare. Oldies Club can't answer queries about dogs who are not with us
Good luck Jack
