We had an absolutely lovely week in the village of Near Sawrey. We stayed in Anvil Cottage (opposite Beatrix Potter's house, The Hill Top Farm). A bit tourisrty but Max loved it. He swam a lot in our local lake (Esthwaite Water) and Lake Windermere was only a couple of miles away:

aaww, lovely piccies, Max look like he is having a great time. I love the lakes, we are lucky to get up there for weekends quite often. Took Bailey up a few weeks ago, he wasn't as adventurous as Max... Just managed a paddle in Derwentwater!! Very Happy
