I give Leo all sorts of treats.
I just pick up anything when i goto the shops really. Bonios, bakers, markies etc. He also gets bones, rawhide etc too.
However i don't give him these treats everyday and i always adjust his food and exercise accordingly.

Majic is given Burns chewitz chew sticks one a night and for training we use small cubes of cheese or Burns Aqua Snacks cut up in to smaller amounts.

My 2 have the occasional bonio.....but mainly Burns Kelties, Aqua Snacks or pork cracklings......if we are at training class they will get special treats like sausage or chicken.....

I dont tend to buy anything by Pedigree or Bakers, I wouldnt feed their actual food, so would never feed their treats.....

I don't feed commercial dog treats like Bonio's, Beggin' Strips or whatever the hell they are called because generally they are full of crap. The number one ingredient in most of those commercial dog treats is "cereals" followed by "meat and animal by product" --nuff said. Wink

If I treat my dogs I will slice up pieces of cheese or meat (chicken, pork, lamb etc.) as the smellier the treat the better they work

hi

I have a 6 month old, i give her Burns kelties and ocean bites as a treat but adjust her food accordingly. She also loves to eat a raw carrot but be prepared for bad wind afterwards !!!!! Embarassed

I use bits of her dry burns to praise aswell if doing a bit of training etc.
she does have raw hide chews occasionally but i want to phase them out as they are not supposed to be any good for them.

I have to be careful as Abbey seems to get a runny tummy from lots of the 'normal' type dog biscuits i.e bonio etc. so a good old rich tea or digestive as special treats in the evening she sometimes gets.
