For Corbie
Oh, I love my little Corbie
He’s a cheeky choccie pup
He’s wrecked my wooden shoe-rack
And ripped my nice books up
He wrecked Auntie Trizia’s garden
And ate Sherpa’s toys
But we all forgave him
Cause he’s such a cute little boy
Met a TV garden designer - I was an embarrassed mum that day
He pounced on her, then piddled down the hall
Just as she went to go away
He’s eaten a sponge for cleaning
So rushed him to the vets
They had a laugh and made him throw up
…..£35… oh, no more puppy debts!
The privilege of owning a Labrador
Is all mine I have to say
Despite him eating my knickers and socks
Then throwing them up the next day
He’s sent me flying and left me all bruised
Was that an evil look on his face?
Is he trying to get rid of his mum
And pinch her sofa space?
I’ve taken out that hefty loan
To buy the pup his toys
At the store they call Pets At Home
Argh! The squeakers make so much noise!
He likes his walkies by the river
In and out of the water all day long
Or up a hill and in the snow
But he really loves his Kong!
Oh, I love my little Corbie
He’s as cheeky as can be
The Phantom Raspberry Blower
Of Olde Scotland that is he
If you see a choccie Labrador
Come over and enquire
"Is that the famous Corbie Corbett
Of the LabForums Calendar?"!
