oh bless him. I hazzard a gues that you will be in more of a state over this than he will.
Can you feed him his breakfast a wee bit early so he gets a few hours after feeding? then if you feed him dry you could just give him little bits as you go along. We drove 7 hours with Ruby when she was 4 months and although she doesnt suffer I did this. I just weighed out her lunch and 'drip fed' it to her in little bits every so often.
goood luck lets hope the pet shop stuff works for you.

I saw on the telly the other day that there are two types of travel sickness. one is caused by nerves and as the dog approaches the car they become agitated and nervous which makes them ill when they are travelling. the other type is motion sickness which is whenever the dog is in the car it is sick but this isnt induced by stress. I would speak to your vet and see what he recommends, he might be able to give something other than the tablets you have already got.

Poor you and yellow! We have been lucky as both of ours are fine in the car but both times when we went to collect our new pups the breeder explained that they had been fasted that day in case of car sickness. Since then if either of them has had a tummy upset we would fast them for 24 hours so maybe don't feed her on the day of your journey? She can have a lovely dinner when she gets there!

When I first got my boy, he kept suffering from travel sickness in the car, even during a 20 min journey.
After a whislt he got better and is no longer suffering.
I would suggest not feeding your yellow before the journey, and then maybe give him a small amount of dried food about half way, maybe even rice.
Speak to your vet, they should sell a spray which you can put into the back of the car and where he will be, this should calm him down. It does work as I have used it on my dog, and also the cat one, for when I took my cat down to Cornwall (5 hour journey), she didn't get travel sickness, but used to get very stressed in a car.
Good Luck

Hiya, i just wanted to recommend this company to you http://www.dorwest.com/herbal_medicines.htm
If you go to that link they will tell you about the skullcap and valerian tablets that they do, which help with travel sickness. Apparently they are really good. x
