Hi Everyone,
If you haven't yet signed up to our sister site, www.lostlabs.com then is for you.
If you're new to this site, or just aren't aware - our sister site is called 'Lostlabs' and it's main aim is to help reunite lost & stolen labradors. A very worthy cause as i'm sure you'll agree.
Within Lostlabs, there is a database called 'Lab Alerts'. This allows people to sign up to the 'lab alerts' who have kindly offered their help, should a labrador go missing from the area where they live.
I.e. If you live in Dorset, and a lab goes missing.. you'll be sent a 'lab alert' to let you know.. and maybe you could help out in a search, offer information, put up posters or just offer your support in general.
With so many labs going missing/stolen every single day.. it's such an important database.. and what we need is more members to sign up.
What we would ask is, that if you haven't already joined the 'lab alert' list, please go over to lostlabs now.. www.lostlabs.com - create an account just as you did to join Labforums, and then you'll see a 'help out' heading on the left hand side of the home page. This is where you can subscribe to the lab alerts.. and just possibly... help out at a much needed time in the future..
OK.. so here's the plan... on this post we'll aim to get 100 new people subscribe... once you have signed up please come back to this thread, and let us know.
We'll be waiting for no.1
Thanks everyone... for all your support.
Don't forget www.lostlabs.com
Julie x

How sad is this Julie....
Not one reply.
3p and I have spent nearly a year 24/7 saving, finding, rescuing, capturing and reuniting Labs. It has been an uphill struggle but we have never faltered because we love this breed.
We are both owned by labs and can't imagine the pain in having one lost or stolen, that's why we do what we do.
I won't speak for anyone other than me now, but I don't understand why any lab owner doesn't feel the same way.
Why are so many so blinkered to think it won't happen to them. Nor have compassion for those that have lost.
Just look in our datebase. There are many loving families without their loving lab at their feet.
You can help......and thank you to those that have already joined Lab Alert.
But with over 3000 members the 170 on LL is shameful...sorry....
Thought this was a Lab site !!

I do know the pain of losing a Lab when my boy went missing for 4 days, I was lucky and got him back thank goodness, many are not so lucky.
Please please don`t think it`ll never happen to you, it can and does no matter what lengths we go to to protect our babies .
Does`nt take anytime to register, same format as LF, I even used the same nick and password for mine, if ever (heaven forbid) your Lab goes missing Rhoni and 3p set all kinds of wheels in motion, you`ll get a PM and/or email advising of you of where a Lab went mssing if its in your area and asked if you can help in any way.
So get those mouse fingers working, click the link, then use your fingers to register!!, don`t forget to sign up for the Lab Alerts too, unless its changed since I joined LL, its a separate thing from actual membership of the forum

hi
just to let you know I have signed up with 'Lost Labs'
I couldn't bear the thought of losing Charlie and no-one there to help me, so would like to help others if ever the need arises (hopefully it won't)
