Mouse and I are beside ourselves with excitement this morning! It's her first day at Real-Live, Khaki-Malarky, Ol' Gundogging School!
She has been sat at the front door since 8 o'clock this morning with her game-bag packed (containing a puppy-dummy, Zorro furry-balls (!) and a poo-bag incase she she gets all overcome with excitement!) and she is so very up for it!
I've got the camera primed and ready for that all-important shot of her as she walks down the path on her first trip to 'proper school', dressed in her over-large slip lead, with her game bag slung over her shoulder! I'm expecting a few tears (mine!) and no doubt she'll make a few mistakes along the way, but this is it......... the start of a whole new chapter in Mouse's life!
She did me proud and much impressed my trainer. Mouse is tired, happy, has a new boyfriend, and can't wait till next Sunday! Here is her first 'Off to big school' photo:-
And a quick kiss for Mum (as she said I wasn't to kiss her infront of all her new mates, so I'd best get it over with before we set off!)
And lastly, Mouse has nicked Flo's favourite spot in the house - cheeky young up-start that she is!-
So what did Mousey-Brown get up to on her first day? Or is she waaaay too cool for school to give a full in-depth report and just mumbled to the family when they asked 'so, how'd you get on, what did you do?' ...'yeah, was good, fine, not much!'
