Hi,

I've done a search, but still can't decide what size to go for - medium or large?

Bracken is 12 months and neck is bang on 17", so on the cusp of medium and large.

Previous posts say to go large so that there's enough collar left to slip through the bitty so it sits flat and doesn't flap, and so that it's not on the very last hole. Whereas other posts say that the collars are generous size-wise and stretch a bit - so I wouldn't want to be on the first hole either with no way of tightening (other than to make new hole myself).

What do you reckon?

I would defo go for the medium. Bovril is bang on 17" and I went for the large but it is too loose on the last hole so have had to make another one. You could always use an elastic band round the collar and slot the end through to stop it flapping Very Happy

Fee was saying they are really bad for 'pullers' as they stretch when they pull and afford a wee bit of room Laughing Laughing You might have to make it her Sunday best collar!

I fancy one for my two as well - they're lovely. I love the pink camo ones and had me eye on a red and yellow one fopr Honey. Scared my wee mentalist will munch the end then pull me from Glasgow to Edinburgh though Shocked Shocked Rolling Eyes

My two both have Large. As you proably remember Sunday, Pasco slipped his and nearly got run down!!

His medium though, was getting too small and the end of it wouldn't stay in the tab thingy.

Wish you had said yesterday and I'd have put one of them on her and you'd have known!

I'd say get the Large... you know how skinny necked Pasco is, and Bracks is definetly bigger than him.

If you can hang off till the 17th.... I'll have them with me!

Mosey! My little angel would never dream of pulling Laughing Laughing Laughing

Fee - I hadn't really thought about getting a dublin until today - the thought just popped into my head, so off I went to the website to look. I'll wait until the 17th and try yours for size.

Slipleads are a no-no at my obedience club, so I'm going to keep going with my half-check or leather collar there and for competitions. However, I could do with a nice flat collar for when she's with the dog walker. I'm sick of her fabric and leather flat collars getting manky and needing washed every day, and my dog walker is prone to losing my half-checks. She's off-lead more than on with the dog walker, and when on-lead she won't tolerate any pulling, so I was thinking a dublin might last a while (hoping!!)

I leave my two with their Dublins for the walker and they are still in excellent condition. She never has them on the lead though. I do have two leads that match the Dublins so if you want one of those you can have it. I've never used them!

I have to use an elastic band on Moles, but only because the rubber loop has broken on hers. She has a medium, but then she's still quite dinky!
