We have been looking for a 1-3 year old bitch since August last year, but there always seems to be loads of males but no females available, a good thing I know but Alfie our 6 year old still needs a companion.

So if anybody knows of one needing an experienced home, please let me know, we live in East Sussex so she must be from a rescue that will re-home in this area.

He does get on with some males, but has been attacked by a couple of local males, so we would prefer a bitch.

I wonder why it is, that which ever rescue centre you go to, it is full of mostly male dogs.

I work for LRRSE which covers Sussex. Have you had an adoption form ?

We have loads of dogs in rescue at the moment which is normal after Christmas Rolling Eyes

I have been reistered with the LRRSE since August, and have been with LRSE&C since November, also home checks have been done.

Looking at all the dogs on LRRSE site I cannot believe they have not got a dog for you. Would you not accept one of their crosses? I see they even have a couple of Rotties. Good luck in your search Meg

Yes I did say that a Lab X was possible, and the Rotties were very tempting but just a bit too big for us.


We have had a call from LRSE&C, possibly a young bitch that we can go and meet next week, fingers crossed.
