I wish there was more media awareness and programmes such as this.
Dog owners need to reliase how bad the situation really is
Just one night devoted to true stories like this would result in a steady queue to the microchippers and tattooists
Without advertising anything I do know of a forthcoming series of 8 programmes on this subject, and I believe some of our labs are featured
Will update when I know the date it's starting.

My only disappointment is that the poor folk who lost their dogs came across as "dog obsessed" which I feel would have put many non-dog people off. I felt 100% affinity with them, don't get me wrong, I spent much of the programme crying but I can just imagine the comments from a lot of non-dog people I know " get a life", "it's only a dog" etc. A more balanced approach may have been better but I think the idea is to show that animals mean more to some people than people rather than specifically dog theft. I thought it was a series.

I agree with Maddie. I think the program was purposely edited to make them look like obbessive dog owners. Whether they are or not who knows but I did find the people kind of...odd. I understand them completely but..

While I agree with Maddie, yes it may have come across as ' obsessed ' by non dog owners....I for one know how I would feel or act if my Tilly was stolen....rightly or wrongly in the public's eyes.
But, I would also question why non dog owners / lovers were watching the programme, and in turn, having seen it, why they felt they had the right to comment
