We have recently started feeding our puppy Hills Sicence Food, Chicken instead of Omega that she was originally being fed. Is this a good food for my puppy?

Hi, My pups are dogs for the disabled puppies and, as Hills sponser DftD, they have all been raised on Hills Puppy food and seem to do fine. The only problem I have with my pups is a tendency for poo-eating, but there is no evidence that the food has anything to do with this habbit. i would be interested to hear if you find your pup does it though. good luck, Becs

hi,
depends on how you define good.
please read this thread, the threads linked from this one and in particular the link to the info on what the ingredients list in foods really mean.
http://www.labradorforums.co.uk/ftopict-5718.html
what food you choose is ultimately your decision, people often feed based on recommendation, however how do those people know the food is a 'good' one? If you ask 10 people you will likely get 10 different reasons, so having been forced to learn about feeding in more depth than most, I have tried to post summarised dietary info I have found which is primarily from research done on the key issue of chd and the healthy development of our labs.
I hope this gives you some usefull insight to make your decision.
