I have never done it but heard it's great. I really want to do it but am scared! It is meant to be REALLY hard and the trainer really pushes you. I got an information leaflet from the gym about it and under "tips and advise" it said "if you begin to feel feint or dizzy slowly get off and tell the instructor" - that put me off
But seriously, meant to be good fun and a really good workout. Have fun!

I loved it but it hurts your bum! You can buy a gel pad cover that you can tie over the bike seat which helps! I think you can get it in most sports shops. It's worth it!

I watched a Spinning Class once and thought it a tragic waste of energy . They could have rigged up some sort of dynamo on every bike and sent the power to the National Grid at least.
Seriously, it didn't look like fun to me....It looked like a really hard bike ride but without any fresh air and decent scenery.

OMG I LOVE IT and hate it. Its the kind of class you dread as its sooo hard but then feel like you could conquer the world when you have finished!!!!!! You should come out looking like you have showered with your clothes on and if you put in maximum effort one class supposedly burns off 800 calories

I teach spinning!!
It is so good for you but is also so adaptable to all levels of fitness.
Basically, you just peddle a cycle in time to the music, adjust the resistance to suit your fitness. The teacher just explains your impedence levels and makes you work as hard as you find possible...A good instructor will make the class fun.
Go for it, you will love it!!

Oh my lord, i did a taster class that was half an hour and nearly died!!! I don't think my bike was the right height as i kept slipping down the seat which really hurt my....lady bits... and i found my arms/shoulders hurt more than my legs and bum...coming to think about it i don't think i did it very well !! But it is supposed to be the best fat burner.
