Hi guys not long registered and was wondering, My golden lab (Angel) is now 7mths old and im feeding her 3 meals a day. 2 of pedigree chum meat (200g) and 1 of pedigree dry (50g) i know this may seem a but much to some of you as it seems a lot to me too but i get conflicting advice from the tin and bagged stuff :-S anyway on a morning after her breakfast she get's a dentistix too, i'm gonna keep feeding her them as it seems to give her shiny white teeth. My question is is the above ok or should i cut it down and should i change her food as i've read some good things about royal canin and also arden grange? i'll get some more recent pics of her up and look forward to the replies.

p.s. sorry for the essay.

sean

Hi Sean,

Is Angel putting too much weight on, or does she still look a nice shape and size? You should be able to run your hands over her and feel her ribs but you shouldn't be able to see them through her skin.

My Lillie is 12 weeks and she's currently on about 350g a day of a mix of 3 sorts of dry food, so if anything it seems a little low what Angel is getting.

Definitely post pictures though and I'm sure someone will be able to give you advice on whether she looks a good size.

HTH

I cut Minnie-Moo down to two meals a day at six months too, but did it gradually over the space of the previous few weeks so removing that lunch meal wasn't a shock to her.

I'm not sure what the quantity of food you are feeding is as I feed a different food but how does she look and feel? How are - and how frequent are - her poos?

I wouldn't feed Pedigree as I don't think it's very good in terms of ingredients, sorry. Arden Grange is a really good quality dry food and I'm sure people will recommend others.

I feed Naturediet, which is a moist food and the dogs love it.
