Hi everyone,
I just wondered if anyone else has had problems with bob martin premiun ham bones when fed to your dog. My dog has half a month ( we saw it in half ) but after he has ate it he drinks excessively and needs the toilet loads. He has even woken us up at night needing the toilet. Also his number twos go very solid and small but only for one day. My friend gave her dog one of these and the same thing happened to her dog. So i just wondered has anyone else experienced this problem. Im not sure whether this will harm my dog because they must be very salty .

Bones can cause constipation so will make the poo solid, also the ham bones are very very salty, they are the left over of the ham making process.
Personally I would ditch the Bob Martin ones and speak to your Butcher and get some nice raw fresh ones, raw is much better they don't splinter and are unprocessed. Also these are normally either free if you are r egular at your butchers or mine ask for a small donation in the charity box.
Beware of Marrow bones though, the Marrow has the opposite effect, it can give some dogs the runs. Go for Lamb rib bones, pelvis etc
