Quick question for anyone who has a Beta Puppy bag lying around...for a 3 month old pupster, how much Beta Puppy should she be getting a day?

I stupidly threw the bag out before cutting the feeding guidelines off!

Thanks,

Hi

According the packet of Puppy/Junior Beta I have, it states:
1-3 months - expected weight 10 - 23kg feed 150-440g per day
1-3 months - expected weight 23 - 45kg feed 210-510g per day
3-5 months - expected weight 10 - 23kg feed 240-525g per day
3-5 months - expected weight 23 - 45kg feed 390-640g per day

It always makes me laugh these ball park figures!!
Anyways, hope that helps a tad Smile

Aww, thanks Rachael! Yes, it's mad the ranges the give....as she's pretty much 3 months now I guess she should be on about 390-510g a day. It varies so much from brand to brand as well - she got some Hills Science Large Breed puppy food from the vet yesterday and she should only be on 265g a day of that!

Cheers!

P.S. Your Marley looks like a right sweetie!

Thank you! He is lovely (I'm totally biased!!) - I guess that our 2 are about the same age then (ah yes silly me i just saw the DOB - 2 days after Marley) - Marley was 12 weeks yesterday. Such a fab age. I think they always look great at this age - u really start to see them changing into little dogs.
Yes the feeds do vary a lot depending on the company and the concentrations of vits and mins they put in. Quite often the more expensive brands have less fillers in so you end up feeding less. Plus I think a lot of the amounts on the packets are way too much for most dogs. My knowledge lies in horse nutrition (rather than canine) - its exactly the same with them too. Feeding is an art and a science - I tend to feed by eye and buy the best I can afford.
Unfortunately Marley's stomach hasn't been right for a while so he went onto chicken and rice and I never got around to putting him back onto the Beta puppy (which the breeder had him on). Hopefully we'll get to the "bottom" of it soon when the test results come back. I'll probably be left with the Beta as I won't go back onto it - any takers?!
Rachael
