Main GT 2008 CANCELLED

Hi All

Well the time has come to make the decision about the GT. Crying or Very sad

As you all know the main GT is a charitable event with all proceeds going to pre selected charities. Also the likes of the scouts etc attend free of charge (we cover their pitches) providing all the hot food and refreshments this giving them a much needed chance to raise some money for their cause and making life easier for ourselves on the day.

Obviously with Lickhill Campsite, Kidderminster Scouts, stalls and the doggy show already booked it is only fair and right we give them ample time to re fill their diaries in the event of a cancellation and also to minimise any losses arising from setting up an event like this (i.e. insurance/rosettes etc)

Sadly we have only had 7 pitches booked and a total of 15 tickets sold and to that end we have no choice but to cancel the main GT for 2008. Crying or Very sad

For those that have purchased tickets/camping you will receive a full refund.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have given up their free time to help with the arrangements for the GT.

Thats really sad, i know i couldnt make it this year, but its a LF tradition that looks like its going to die out.
Maybe people want the local GT's

we couldnt make it this yr either due to not having transport atm but im sad its been cancelled

Hi Den,

Yes i would agree......

Fay and i have decided that as we have that weekend off anyway we will still be going away camping that weekend and when the site has been confirmed anyone wishing to join us are more than welcome Laughing

It will be in the Southwest mind but hopefully in the next couple of days i will be able to confirm where and anyone wishing to join us can contact the site directly - so more of a mini GT Laughing
