How long after vaccination can my pup go out?

How long is it after vaccination that i can take my pup out? I havent picked him up yet but was wondering how long after he has his first jabs i can take him out. We have been invited camping the weekend after we get him - will we be able to get him jabbed and take him with us??

I don't know if vets vary on this but Blondie had her jabs two weeks apart then she went out one week after the second jab. Smile

Hi, you cannt take your dog out for "walkies" or to places where un-vaccinated dogs may have been etc until approx 7 days after its 2nd lot of jabs, so this is probably about 12 weeks old.

Ruby had her 1st jab at 8 weeks and her 2nd jab on Tuesday (10 weeks), i was told the same... 7 days after 2nd jab she could go out.

We went away just after Majic had her second jabs, we bought her a bag on wheels so we could get about, but she didn't come into contact with the ground.

The time away was fab for her socilisation Very Happy

I wouldn't go away just after first jabs though Wink

We got ours from the breeder at 8 weeks who already had the first jab done the evening before we picked him up.

We had the second jab last friday at 10 weeks and today was the first day he was allowed out at 11 weeks and boy did he enjoy himself.
