I've done the same thing Ally, Its junos first show too. We should meet up and give each other some moral support, and maybe shout encouragement from the sidelines. lol
I'm pooing myself about it already...... what if my dog misbehaves? what if she looks awful compared with the others? what if i trip over in the ring. aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh
You will be fine! Brambles (and mine) first ever show was the National - a large Champ show... boy was I petrified!! And the Ringcraft teacher did not make it any easier by saying that she knew what show I had entered and performance on the day mattered... and basically a smaller show would have been better...
Having now done the National (and survived!!) I disagree. It was a brilliant day out, people were lovely - and not just my fellow exhibitors...
Because it was a champ show it was brilliantly well organised and although I can;t speak for open shows our little companion show was a nightmare - there were plenty of staff around to help me - and they did.
I must have been walking round under a great neon sign - NOVICE! I was stopped by a steward and given directions to where I needed to go. I then panicked about bench numbers not ahving done this before. Found the chief stewards office, presented my lost and panicked face requesting help and directions. They called the group steward to come over and escort me to my bench...
The steward kept an eye on me, made sure that the steward dealing with my ring ensured I was there at the right time, my fellow exhibitors also nursemaided me and Bramble- and as for the judge she was lovely. She made allowances gave us time and was very kind...
On retrospect entering a larger show for the first time was so the right thing to do because it meant that the help was there ... and that really helped to keep me calm and not panicked!!
So the very best of luck - and have a really good day - I did!
