Hi All,

You may have seen that I'm looking to change foods for Joey from Burns which no longer agrees with him. I've sent off for samples from the following manufacturers and wondered if you could share your experiences with any of these, good or bad (sorry its a long list!);

Autarky didn't agree with my girl but she has a sensitive tummy. She was failing to gain weight and had sloppy poos.

Can I recommend CSJ food to you http://www.csjk9.com/

This is what Phoenix is now on and is thriving. Gaining weight, is happy and stomach is settled. They will also send you samples if you give them a call.

I think Arden Grange is the only one of those I've ever fed and I was very pleased with it and will probably buy more in the future if I'm looking for a dry food.

You haven't listed Naturediet and I'm not sure they do samples - would be heavy to post - but it's the one I've been feeding for years and mine all do very well on it, including Minnie on the puppy version. I order in bulk each month, direct, by phone, but you could buy a packet or two from a Pets at Home if you wanted to try it.

My older two have been on Trophy for the past 6 years and really enjoy it. The new puppy will be put onto Trophy puppy food in a week or so.

I went to Trophy after spending a fortune on Anden as a pup, he had a skin problem which despite pills, potions, lotions, creams, jabs as well as trying the recommended food from the vet still didn't clear up.

Tried Trophy food and it cleared up (never to return) within a week or so. The only conclusion was that he must have had an allergy to something in every other food I'd tried!

Vote for Nature Diet here (as per Angela C post) Max had a poor coat and quite low energy levels when I got him. Nature Diet has really suited him well and I always get comments on his coat. Nice firm regular No 2's as well Very Happy

Morris (nearly, nearly 1!), is on good old Chappie now and it is the best one we have tried. he came to us on Beta Purina, (loads of poo, soft), JWB (even more poo and really soft, went off it a bit as well) and about 8 weeks ago he had Colitis and was advised to change to Chappie by the vet. We give a mix of tinned and dried and his poo is now firm and pick up-able, he gets really excited at mealtimes, seems more 'content', his fur is glowing and I just can't rate it enough.
