Has anyone had experience of a Fibroma?
Sasha was ill 2 weeks ago. She was in season, and a large 'balloon like' swelling appeared on her ******, which the vet thought was a hypoplasty and should have reduced eventually.
However, it must have been irritating her as she bit it and ruptured it while we were out shopping. There was blood EVERYWHERE! she underwent emergency surgery to remove it, and then it was sent for a histology report which came back on Tuesday as a Fibroma Tumor.
The vet hopes he removed enough of it, but wants to perform a spay on Sasha to reduce the risks of it coming back, and check he took enough tissue away.
Any thoughts anyone?

Sounds serious and personally I would follow the vets advice, afterall, I expect after such an incident breeding from her would be a no go even if you wanted to, and anything that would reduce the risk of it happening again to me would be worth it.
Good luck with your decision. not an easy one I know.

From what I can gather the Fibroma Tumors are mostly benign but surgery is needed to make sure all removed as states below
Surgery: Treatment of choice; most tumors are benign; therefore, complete excision may be curative
Hope this helps and I hope Sasha gets well soon
