I've been looking at all the lovely collars and leads on kyruba and i really want to get one for Tilly. I've just measured her current collar (a cheap nylon adjustable one) and it's adjusted to about 14" atm which would mean she'd need a medium size. She's only 17 weeks now so I guess she's still got quite a lot of growing to do but don't now how much her neck will grow Confused I can't really justify buying her a nice collar that will only last a month or two so wanted to know what size she's likely to be when she's fully grown (or nearly). What size does your adult labrador wear? Might have to face the fact that I'll just have to wait a bit for my lovely new collar Sad

I think this is a very hard question to answer, as it will depend on the individual dog - as you know there are many shapes ans sizes of labrador out there Very Happy

Take my boys for example - Danny was in a medium collar for quite sometime, I would say up to and just after 1 year old, but now wears a large at 2 years old, but Jake who is currently 9 months also wears a large and any medium collars I have do not fit him anymore, plus he also has it a hole looser than Danny Shocked

I would suggest that if you can't afford to keep buying luxury collars as Tilly grows then stick with the cheaper ones that you can until she is fully grown, and then you can buy her a gorgeous luxury collar that she won't outgrow Very Happy

Agree with Rachel, they are all different shapes. Indie has a big muscular neck and is nearly out of her large collar Shocked Tau's neck is a little leaner and she has quite a bit of space left to grow into on hers. We didn't buy Indie's 'posh' stuff until she was pretty much grown up into her full size frame, otherwise we felt we'd have just been wasting money.

most adult labs have large ones Wink

Ruby is a medium and she is on the third hole on that (she is adult weeny lab at 21kg and 2 years old) - also it depends which collar you are looking at as to how many holes and therfore adjustability that they have. If you want to pm me and tell me which one you are hankering for I will be able to give you more size info - hope that helps xx
