hi, I'm still going over my Things i need puppy list which seems to be growing every day (loving it though). just a little confused. Do i need a crate and a separate bed or just a crate? The crate which i have already will be positioned in the kitchen. Will Mya just use that for her bed or do i need a bed for the living room as well. If so can anyone recommend any good puppy beds.
Thanks for your ongoing help.

Rich & Mya (7 weeks, 1 day) nearly time Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I didn't bother at first... and then bought a separate soft bed from pets at homefor the living room. Honestly he just didn't use it... and now its in the back of the car for those exhasuting journeys we make! Razz Rolling Eyes

The pup will sleep where ever it wants really.... decide now where you want her to be or not to be.... we don't mind Hudson on the sofa... but only if he has been invited. This is where he chooses to sleep. If you get one... and put it down... she may or may not use it depending on how tough you are on the sofa rule!

Thanks for the replies guys. feeebarn i don't think I'm going to be to strict with the sofa rule, (big softy) but i will make sure she asks as you suggest. OH already saying Mya's sleeping in the bed when I'm on night shift, not sure about that one though. Jackie a box sounds like a good idea to start with, that way at least I'll know if she will use it.
Thanks again.

I'm borrowing a pop up "playpen" for doggies from a co-worker who had a lab puppy, along with some gates for the doorways. We'll probably set up the playpen in the kitchen or bedroom

hi do you mean a bed for the crate?

because crates do need something to be put on teh plastic/metal floor..
i used blankets but you can get a soft bed to fit inside the crate but i found blankets easier to rotate and clean..lol.

then for her bed when she was older rosze uses are sofa our beds our cushions..lol.. but in our bedroom they do have there own blankets on teh floor infact i think they have about 6 down there .lol..

Hi mkirby, whats a pop up playpen? I'll have to look that up. I'm doing the same as you i think. Placing the crate in the kitchen and blocking off the kitchen door with a puppy gate so Mya has the run of the kitchen but not the house when i need to pop out. (not much of a run with that crate in there. lol). Leila and Claire yes I've got loads of blankets for the crate and will just get a box and put a cushion in it for her bed in the living room.

Thanks for replies.
Rich & Mya
