Hi Everyone,
What a great couple of weeks it has been.
After the problem we had with the hardrive crashing, with all your help and support, Labforums has once again taken off nicely and is growing more and more everyday.
We have had the data recovery expert examine the hardrive & the back up copy, and we have been informed that we will be able to get most of the info that was 'lost' back! Without seeing it first, we can't say exactly what for sure, but will know very soon now.
We have decided that, if possible, we will be adding all those members that had joined the site before, who haven't yet re-registered, back on again just like before. If we can retrieve all the old posts, we will be transferring them into an 'archieve' forum, for all to view and use as normal. We won't be able to assign all the original posts to their original member who started them up, but at least they will be back on the site. 
Most of the other information that was on before, such as articles, the 'furbabies' shop, the new breeders database etc is getting added bit by bit, and it should all be back to normal very soon.
Donations
Dave & I would like to say a huge thank you to all those who very kindly donated to Labforums, it has helped with all the costs of bringing back the 'new' lab forums, and above all - the costs to retrieve the original data. We have had a overwhelming amount of support, which we are truly grateful for. We really do feel we have a great community of labrador lovers, and it's so rewarding to be part of all of your lives.
With regard to the donation block, this will now be taken off the site, this is due to us adding a 'subscribers' function to the site, as discussed previously. Here's some info for you re: becoming a subscriber.
Becoming A Subscriber
Becoming a subcriber to Labrador Forums is a completely 'optional' function. Labrador forums will remain a 'free to join' site for all.
As a way of finacially supporting the site, i.e. with the running costs & all the work involved (graphics, server costs, bandwidth etc) we are introducing a 'subscribers' function. We have decided that the annual cost as a subscriber will be £7.99.
If you do decide to become a subscriber, we will be offering you the following as a way of a little thank you:
- A free labrador forums window sticker
- 5 % off your first order in our 'Furbabies' online shop
- Any discount & offers that the shop will have, you will be automatically be emailed and informed of these offers.
- You will be awarded a 'golden crown' to represent you are a subcriber and supporter of labforums which will show next to your username.
- Online built in forum arcade games.
- More to come once we add new facilities to the site.
We will be enabling the subscriber function shortly, and if you do subcribe, however the stickers will take a little time to order and print so please be patient with us. 
Furbabies shop should be up and running by next week, and when you subscribe you will be issued with a discount code, which you can use to claim your 5% discount in the shop. (Please note, this is a 'one off' discount)
All the other bits and pieces will be added very soon.
