unknown family history

Any idea how I can find out Jacks family history. He was rescued from Ireland in May 2006 when he was 4 months and then we recued him from our local rescue centre. They wont give out family history... or probably dont even know it? Not sure where to start! Anyone have any tips??

Very hard job to trace back through the centre's good luck with your search. Love to see a picture of your boy. Any information how ended up in the centre?
