Hi There,

Having tried various remedies for lawn burn we have had no success and the 'brown patches' are now out-numbering the green patches!!

Our local pet shop owner has recommended Green-ums tablets which are supposed to neutralise the acid in the urine and therefore prevent the lawn from burning.

I have been assured that they are completely safe as they are entirely herbal but I just wondered if anyone else had tried them, if their dog had any ill effects and also do they work??

Lily does tend to go in the same corner but we only have a small lawn area and the rest is paved so although she sticks to one area a good quarter of the lawn is now brown.
She refuses to go on the paved area and some days I have difficulty in getting her to at all. If the grass is wet she'd rather hold it in than get her feet wet!! And there I was thinking Labs liked water... lol

Hi Kazmat

If you are worried about using Green Ums try some tomato ketchup in Lily's food. Its supposed to stop the yellow patches and it's cheaper lol
