Hi all
Please don't forget the Labs this Christmas, how about sending a Secret Santa to some of the dogs who will be in Foster care over Christmas or those that are in kennels?
OR perhaps sponsor a dog as a special or unusual present for someone, perhaps those who can't have a dog of their own.
Many of our LLR members have long term fosters, such as IRR
IRR sponsor page
LRSEC
LRSEC Sponsor a dog
Tailends (where Dudley Went)
Tailends sponsor a dog
Or how about Purchasing some Xmas cards from the charities
LRRSE have some lovely ones

Blanket Appeal
Well winter is upon us, and it is getting colder at the kennels. If you have any old blankets that you no longer want, we would be extremely greatful if you could send them to us. We can use these in the kennels to help keep our four legged guests that little bit warmer this winter.
As a follow up to our blanket appeal, we have some people who have volunteered to make blankets for us. If you have any spare wool you don't need, we would be extremely grateful if you would donate it to us to make blankets out of. If you are in the Blackburn, Chorley, Leyland, Preston or Southport areas we can even collect it from you.
Also Many Tears have greetings cards to you can buy.
How about donating your old mobiles or printer cartridges, LLRSE take them and I know Many Tears want your stamps, so don't throw them away when you open your cards!
Please, remember the good work they do all year around and one of the busiest times will be Xmas.

Nat
If we got boxes and put in little bits and bobs and then sent it to the chosen rescue would that be OK or would it be more of pain in the b*m for them to get lots of boxes of bits.
I'd put aside a box and put in things like tins or a collar etc over the weeks as I go to the pet shop or supermarket. Then it adds up without noticing the cost. But if lots of people do it I don't want it to be a pain for them to get lots of small donations
What do you think?

Are northwest lab rescue not involved with LF/LLR? John Weller is a great friend of Glenys', and I would have thought they were. Their website is www.helpalabrador.co.uk
