You know how they come in at least 2 sizes for small and large dogs? Well sometimes the shop runs out of the big ones and I have to buy a packet of the smaller ones. When I give Honey a large one she just lays down and eats it. If I give her a SMALL one she drops the one I've given her on the floor and looks up waiting for another small one. When she has that she eats both of them!!!

How intelligent is that? Has anyone else got any stories of smart things their labs do?

LOL, I`m assuming your talking about Jumbones or something similar?, I get those too small ones for Cindy and the big one for CJ, and yes he was the same when I could`nt get a big one, 2xsmall=1xlarge!!, logical I guess Laughing Laughing

OTOH Cindy thinks she also should have a large one cos CJ has one!!, even though she can`t get through it all at once and has to "defend" it from CJ who just wants to "help", obviously does`nt like seeing good treats go to waste Laughing

Hi

They are pretty unique aren't they? Ours was toilet trained using treats, and if she wants one, she will run down the garden and come back in just to get something. She too will turn her nose up if she doesn't want something, she sniffs up and down certain chews and then sits back down ready to be offered something else Very Happy

Sue

My ellie is so sweet especially when she has her ball, and she wants you to play with her, she will nudge the ball out from between her front paws for you to nudge it back to her and she will quite happily do this for about half an hour untill she gets bored. She is so sweet. Laughing

Corbie does that with his ball too Very Happy

He's also taken to shaking his I-Qube really hard to make the balls fly out of it instead of picking them out Laughing

My parents dogs get lunchtime doggy biscuits and they have different ones to each other as Rufus doesn't like the ones Hamish has. Anyway, mum mistook Rufus for Hamish the other day and gave him one of Hamish's biscuits, and he promptly spat it out! Laughing They also have something for their arthritis and it comes in a tasty stick form... Rufus always runs over to the fridge where it's kept after having his bics Laughing
