Hi All,

Was wondering if someone could tell me what time the bitch classes should start? I was suppost to be showing Holden in the junior dog class, however I feel his summer coat has not fully grown in yet so have decided to leave him at home. Jessie is in the puppy bitch class and was told males are shown in the morning and bitches in the afternoon? is this correct? if any of you were showing in a bitch class what time would you arrive for, as I don't want to be standing around for hours.

Thanks

Hi Homer

It all depends on the amount of entries and who turns up...... Rolling Eyes

It is a job trying to work out when the bitches will start, I would try and turn up early........ In my opinion far better early than late and miss the class/s.....even if you are standing around, gives you plenty of chance to settle the dogs, find the ring, shopping and looking around.

Wish you luck anyway Very Happy

Hi Homer,

Difficult to give an exact time for the bitch judging. However, if you check your schedule, it says that dogs MUST be in the showground by 11.30 a.m., so you must have your bitch in the showground by that time. If you arrive after 11.30 a.m., they probably will not let you in.

Good Luck!

Wouldn't worry too much about your dog being out of coat - I think a lot of them will be!!

Further to previous posting -
If your coming from the North there are roadworks on the Forth Road Bridge which can cause long delays. I'm giving myself 3 hours to do a 2 hour journey. Better early than missing the 11:30 deadline - there's always the trade stands to soak up the time before the bitch classes.

Hi All,

Thanks for all the info, we will be alright with the traffic as we live in South Queensferry beside the road bridge so know how to avoid traffic Very Happy we live only 10 mins from the show ground. Do you think I should take Holden if he is slighty out of coat or do you think its a waste of time?

If he is only slightly out of coat I wouldn't worry, as many others will be at the moment too.

If he's bald as a coot I'd forget it Wink

Good luck with whoever you take. Very Happy
