Hi i am with direct line advanced policy this is a good policy but i recently made a claim and it took them 3 months to process the claim, its a good policy if you don't mind waiting but im sure there are better companies like Marks and spencer which seem to be populsr...
Make sure you go for the lifetime policy and not the one with a maximum claim limit on it per condition... Sarah and Bailey
I am with M&S but it's not cheap. I think we pay £18 per month for Ozzie. I've just accepted that insurance is important to have and it's something you just have to budget in, but I was expecting it to have been closer to £10 when I first started thinking of insurance.
I went with M&S after reading on here about their £0 excess. It means that I can take Oz to the vet for any little thing that worries me and claim for them all - not that I've had to yet!
I`m with M&S for CJ, have heard the premiums rise dramatically tho on renewal , personally I think pet insurance should be like vehicles, you get no claims bonus build up, after all not every dog ends up needing treatment

I think what it was, was that M&S had super low premiums when they first started offerring pet insurance say 2 years ago. This would help make them popular and get them a good share of the market.
Then, once they had a good client base they raised their prices to what they would have been worth originally.
Because I read on here a lot of people saying theirs originally was, say, £150 for the year, when M&S first opened, but now days their quotes all start at like £200.
That is just a guess though, I'm not certain this is the case! But new people with M&S now certainly aren't getting the same low quotes they were giving out 12 months ago.
m&S here Rubys premium was £205 but the cover is £7000 and the service is fabulous I have the zero excess too and thats why I stayed (event though the first year premium was £127 quite a hike)
The way I see it with most puppy things (we hope) are like £25consult and maybe some ab's or tummy paste or anti inflams so rarely get up to the £50 or £60 excess so even if you go 3 times in one year the that is £150 you cant claim so £205 seems reasonable after all that thinking
I am with M&S zero excess. Although they have gone up they are still cheaper than a lot of other policies. I liked the idea of claiming for little amounts as the majority of time it is about 30pounds at the vets which you cannot claim back with most policies. Last year I only claimed for little amounts but I got back what I paid for the years insurance.

I have also all my dogs insured with M&S. I was attracted to the zero excess as well us low premium and a couple of weeks ago, I received my renewals and it had gone up quite dramatically however I wouldn't be without it. I have just made a claim, and they were extemely helpful on the phone. As I example someone who Iknow who has just rehomed a slightly older dog got a quote from More than for £166 for the year and M&S quoted £338 however M&S I think has the slightly better policy cover.
We're with M&S and have claimed the full £7000 with no problem It was paid directly to the specialist so we didn't have to pay anything.
We've just renewed the policy and it has gone from £121 to £200 but we really can't grumble at all.
Also because its £7000 per year and not per condition it still means that we can claim for anything related to Charlie's hips
