I put my claim into the court today with a statement of charges, with the interested i put a claim in for nearly £2000. Has anyone else done this, if so have you won and how long does it take.
Just a tip - I heard that many people who successfully claimed then had their bank accounts closed down by the banks, so make sure you have a back-up account ready just in case!!!
Yep...no-one's ever got to court though and I doubt yours will too- have put in five claims in all (including 1 each for my Mum and OH) and we've had over £6000 back
I sent them a letter to begin with giving them 14 days to respond to the letter, which they didnt so put the claim in today at the courts, so hopefully fingers crossed we should hear soon, i havent heard of any body losing as yet.
Yes we've done it several times with HSBC and Natwest.
EVERY TIME they payed up before court and they always will......because if they ever got to court the chances of the judge finding in our favour is much, MUCH more greater than them winning which will then make matters much more difficult for them. Its cheaper for them to pay off before it gets to court.
It doesnt take very long....about 6weeks i think .
At last consumers have a right...about flippin time!! We're nothing but numbers to big companies now who would walk on us any way they could if we let them
ETA: Denise, if you need any help with letters let me know. My OH is fab at them (he should be we've done that many!!!), but sure youll be fine
