Hi Everyone!
Well here I am reporting from the distant island of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The journey didn’t take very long, and I was packaged up very carefully – thanks Paul! I’m staying with a lovely yellow lab called Brady, and his owners are called Rona and Willie.
I spent my first day here at the Post Office. After arriving bright and early on the mail plane, Willie took me into the post office while he went out to deliver the post. Here we are arriving home, and Willie’s all wet because it rained all day up here on the Isle of Lewis – I hope it’s sunny tomorrow!
Then I tried to get out of my box but Brady nudged me back in (Rona says he doesn’t know his own strength).
We’re watching Coronation Street now, and thankfully Schmeichel the dog has pulled through after his nasty accident.
Tonight we’re staying up late because we’re going to watch a programme called Desperate Housewives – and Rona says it’s a very important episode. Might even get a little drink of something, since I’ve developed a taste for it lately!
So it’s back to relaxing with my new pals for now – will keep you up to date with my adventures up here in the Highlands!
Glad to hear you got to Scotland safely, and are enjoying your time with Rona, Willie & of course Brady.
Willie looks very smart in his postman uniform - i hope you are helping him out on his rounds. Have a great time in the highlands - and if you see anyone playing the bagpipes wearing a kilt be sure to get their photo!
Hello everyone – it’s Day 2 in the Outer Hebrides, so I’m here to update you again
It’s STILL raining here, Rona says it’s like a monsoon (whatever that is), so we did indoors things again today.
Last night I got settled in and spent some time catching up with everyone on the forums (that’s me on the keyboard, see!)
I was trying to show Brady all the great things on the site, but he got fed up and fell asleep – imagine!!
So in the end we just got up onto the sofa and had a snuggle...
Today we went visiting to Rona’s mum and dad’s house, and I made some more new friends. There was a very “different” looking dog there, he’s called Monty and he’s something called a Basset Hound – big ears eh?

I’m having a lovely time up here, and have been promised a sight seeing tour of the island when the weather clears up. In the meantime I hope to make even more new pals, as you all know what a social little fellow I am!
The Whisky’s not bad at all up here, and I am now on the lookout for that haggisy thing that Max was on about – will keep you all up to date!
It looks like you're having lots of fun up there! My mum goes onto that website you were on a lot - but she never lets me get a look in! I keep nudging her hands while she's typing trying to hint, but she doesn't seem very pleased when I do that! Have managed to kick her off the PC for a bit so I can reply to you!
