Hi everyone

I am new to this forum, but have been reading your posts for a couple of weeks now.

We are getting our new puppy on 20 January and really looking forward to it. I am so pleased we found this forum with its all the fantastic informtion.

I have a question to ask! Can we take our puppy into the garden for the toilet before he has had his first vaccination. He comes home on the Saturday but is not being vaccinated until the Thursday.

Hi Bensons mum

Yes you can, as long as you haven't had any unvaccinated dogs in there.
Please take your pup out all over the place where there are children , shops traffic to get it used to everything you can carrying him of course. This is invaluable I used to sit on benches etc wherever it was noisy. We even went to the airport a couple of times. As a result there aren't very many noises that bother our girl, fireworks included. hth

Edited to say sorry I forgot my manners briefly Welcome too LF

Hi
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

Bassibabes2 - our puppy was born on 20 November, so is a few days older than yours. We could have collected him a few days before 20th, but wanted to make sure we both had plenty of holiday booked from work before we brought him home.

What colour is your pup?. Ours is black and we are calling him Benson.

I am sure I will be posting loads of questions on here once we bring him home and the fun begins !!

ah cool... mine's black too and we haven't decided on a name as yet as my OH wants to call him Enoch after a Bristol City player (no chance!) and I want to call him Elvis (after the King obviously and also I think he may rule our house! hehe)...but my OH doesn't like Elvis as a name Sad so back to the drawing board...

I'm so excited and keep buying bits for Puppy...he now has a couple of fleecy blankets from Ikea (£1.89 each!!)...and lots of toys...

xx

Ooh all the new puppies coming soon - it's very exciting! Jilly gives excellent advice...definitely get as much sleep as you can before your pup arrived, because no matter how much you get...it is never enough! Laughing

Best of luck!
