Hi

i got a whistle only yesterday 211.5 pitched one , well i took abbey out this morning and after reading loads of posts on whistle training whenever i called her back to me and she was running towards me i blew the whistle 3 short pips but instead of abbey keeping on running towards me she just stopped dead looking all around for the noise Rolling Eyes

i told her it was me and not to be silly but every time she did this !

Any help would be great i know its only our first day but i would like to get it right !!!

Use a combination of whistle, voice and hand signals and you will find it will soon come together. At the moment all it is is an unusual sound. It has no meaning to her apart from, "Where did that noise come from?" From now on use it regulaly when you call her and you will find it very soon comes together.

Regards, John

I started to use the whistle in the house before using outside on the dogs. Even Brodie picked it up and he isnt the brightest of pups bless him.
