Ok i know you guys need the electric blankets but its hot here
I recently posted to say Basil just lies around on our marble floor all day. We have the aircon on, but I dont want it so cool he finds the outside unbearable as he seems to have adjusted well to the heat.
He's not panting indoors so he must be ok but he seems to prefer the cold floor on his tum to his lovely comfy bed.
Anyway the dry skin I posted about on his elbows is today a small callus and bald patch He's too young at 8 months for big horrid calluses
When he was a little pup in the UK heatwave this year we used to freeze his towel to lie on. I dont really want the faff of this everyday. Can you make / buy a cooling pad? Anyone done this before for heatwaves?
I have to persuade him to lie on something softer and therefore it needs to be cooler than the marble. My poor pups elbows
It doesnt help he does that lazy slidey manouvre to lie down and his little elbows thud onto the hard floor
Aww its a doggy waterbed! Thanks for that. Bit worried about basil chewing a leak though
they also have a cooling pad wihch looks good, but they dont ship internationally.
The trouble is i need something cooler than marble for him to choose to lie on it and thats gonna be tough. I was wondering if you could get a mat that chills in the freezer or something?
