Eventually the day has arrived for us to pick up Murphy we are so excited but one thing that is worrying me is I have asked if the registration has come through from the kennel club yet and I don't seem to have an answer. A friend of mine picked her puppy up and they forwarded the details onto her a week later. Is this a good idea? if not what should I do as we are travelling quite a distance to pick him up?

Have you seen the parents paperwork, health results etc? Ideally you should be leaving with all the paperwork, although my breeder did send them on a few weeks after as they had not been returned from the KC - although I did have written copies of ped etc.
That said, I do know people who have picked up their dogs and never received the paperwork.

No I haven't seen the parents paperwork but we have visited and kept in good contact. I am happy with everything but I am just a bit concerned about the KC registration. I will make sure that I have written copies of the pedigree if the KC has not returned their registration. thanks for your help

You should have least copy of pedigree, copy of hip scores of both parents, up to date clear eye certificates of both parents pref. copies of the elbows results. If the KC registations are not back then they send those on.
You should also receive a comprehensive diet for the puppy and some food to be going on with. And a condition of Sale signed by the breeder and yourself.Good luck Meg
