After a while it just does not seem to get any worse, or that is what I think. Can't remember where I got that quote from, but it certainly has a ring of truth to it.

Maybe I have just got used to it though (the dust, that is).

I keep the house clean enough not to be a health hazard to us (I hope anyway), but I just don't have enough hours in the day for the dogs, the children, the OH and housework on top. Good grief, what must my MIL think of me!!! Shocked

Helen.

Laughing Laughing Laughing

Its nice to know we're not the only ones who have a dusty house Very Happy

MIL doesn't mind the dust or mess as she's used to it with all the puppies/dogs/cats/birds/children over the years. Also she's got the builders in so there is bigger mess over there anyway Very Happy

I did manage to dust the TV yesterday eve with a little help from Jasper; who thought it was good fun to chase the duster Rolling Eyes Laughing

he he, we have only had Dexter for a week and already the house is messy but hey they're not puppies for long so I reckon just enjoy them. Housework will always be there, memories are made with spending time with your labrador....says she with piles of ironing, hoovering etc to do! Very Happy

I wasn't so keen on the whole house cleaning lark before we got the dogs!! Now with two golden retrievers and a lab, it's just not worth the effort! Shocked

I just do it when it *needs* doing Laughing

Our house is a renovation project, my hubbie's a hoarder and my dog sheds hair for England. I keep it as clean as time/sanity allows but when I'm on my deathbed I don't want to think 'thank god I spent all those hours dusting'. I want to remember all those lovely walks and cuddles with my pooch Very Happy

Oh and with hubbie Laughing

So it's not just me! I must admit my housework has been slipping lately as I'd much rather be spending my time walking/cuddling/playing! The dust and dirt has really increased since the pup came along but I'd much rather had a house like a kip now and again and have all the fun of having them both! I was a bit of a housework freak, I must admit, and the mess does anooy me - but not enough to make me give up the play time for hoovering!
