hello! welcome. the recall thing, i had no luck, until i decided to whistle instead, works like a charm for some odd reason, no idea why he responds to that and not me calling him like but hey, lol.

Thank you all for your welcome. I have already had some excellent advice from this site.
Sue, where do you walk your dogs in St Albans? We walk at the gravel pits quite alot but my girls get rather too friendly with the bird watchers, who are not always so friendly in return
