i didnt actually get to choose, i thought i would just choose when i went to collect but he was chosen for me, i dont mind, i love him and wouldnt have been able to pick
We chose ours latest one at 3 weeks and took him home at 8 weeks.
I was a difficult choice though as the whole litter was black 3 girls and 6 boys.
And to be honest you couldn't really tell them apart.
The breeder used nail varnish to mark one nail a differant one for each dog.
Im sure we got the dog we chose but even if its not the same one i would not change him
Generally the norm for going to see the pups is at 6 weeks. If the breeder is keeping any or any are going to potential show homes then these will be chosen first. Then it's generally where you are on the list and colour/sex of dog etc. There are various ways of the breeder identifying which puppy is which from nail varnish to tippex to specially produced paper collars that can be written on.
Good luck and lots of photos please when you finally get your pup.
When we were looking for a pup we knew we wanted a boy and when we visited Kaiser he was 3 wks and 5 days old. We were lucky because he was the last pup left and when we phoned to see if we could go to view him we were told by the breeder that another woman had phoned about him and was phoning back within the hour to say if her husband was going to agree to her putting a deposit on him. I then got a call to say that she hadnt called back and we could go to view. As soon as we saw him we knew we wanted him and put a deposit on him. We have no regrets and we wouldnt swap him for the world
